In a gangster flick, one would know the ingredients of how to attract and address the audience. In our film, we wanted to produce a film which is rather realistic to the audience and could be eligible to relate it to their own lives. There is a strong message in our film as any gangster film would have. We tried to point out the type of circumstance a guy with this sort of lifestyle could end up in. In the world gambling, we witness the people who are successful, however the people who struggled are been left out into the dark. Money brings power but it kills peace. It could bring wealth but if not handled properly, it could be tragic. By making this film, we expect to have made an influence in the younger generation on how to lead their lives. In the scene where the character “Breasy” gets attacked, we had a part where he plays Xbox 360- this could influential as many could relate Xbox to their own lives, this game console has had an impact on this particular age group and gender.
Attracting the audience mean that you must have interesting camera shots and ankles to keep them involved, even lighting plays a big part so does sound effects. Our initial recording was in the day light which later proved to be the wrong sense as it would not help in creating the type of mood we want our audience in. so we chose to shoot at night as this could well suit our topic. It also changed the atmosphere which led to the sort of mood we wanted to create. We included a variety of camera shots such as zoom, bird’ eye view shot, point of view shot etc. Although the two types of shots we mainly concentrated on was low ankle camera shots and close ups. This was to create intensity and also keep the audience aware of the character’s feelings.
In order to attract the audience, we needed to make a film that they would love. The way we could do this was by laying out a questionnaire. We also told people about it and even getting Facebook involved- getting people to comment on our posts within our friends circle. From the feedback, we understand that most people who would be interested in the film would be aged between 15-25. There are also different aspects in a film which a viewer shows interests to:
After the viewing of our film, we decided to get some reviews on it. For this we made a questionnaire which included questions such as:
What genre did you think the film was?
What age group do you think it’s targeted towards?
Did the characters play the role of a black stereotype well?
Would you like to watch the ending? If so why?

In the feedback, it proved that our audience was able to identify the character successfully and the involvement of the characters in each scene. However, they were a bit unsatisfied with the ending, creating confusion as suggested from the feedback we got about ‘Beasy’s’ feeling- some thought it was a flashback when actually it was an illusion that he was thinking of.
